Registration to car4ums.com is free! However, we do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. The car4ums.com membership represents a diverse mix of people from different countries, ethnicities, backgrounds, age, and experience. In considering such diversity, and to make car4ums.com an enjoyable ongoing experience for our membership majority, we have adopted, impose, and enforce the following guidelines:

1. Offensive/Vulgar language, comments, images and/or ANY other offensive material including, but not limited to; 1.) Obscene, racial, sexually-oriented comments/materials. 2.) Slander, deformation, hate or threat related comments/materials. 3.) Pornographic/nudity images, materials, or commentary is simply not tolerated here. As in ZERO TELERANCE! Consider this site PG-13 - Keep your Signature and Avatar clean and respectful. Remember, PG-13 is the absolute limit of what we will tolerate. It is the discretion of the car4ums.com moderators and administrator to determine what is acceptable and what violates our site standards. Although the administrators and moderators of car4ums.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. That said, all messages express the views of the author, and the owners of car4ums.com will not be held responsible for the content of any message.

2. Debating and mild-heated discussion is fine as long as you do so with respect for your fellow enthusiasts - Remember, we are a community. Being such a diverse community, it is inevitable that members will express different opinions, and while the opinions of others may differ from yours, they are simply just that... opinions. Everyone is entitled to express their thoughts and opinions freely. We have a very narrow tolerance for rudeness and insults, and ZERO tolerance for personal attacks. Don't get involved in a flaming war, don't bother/taunt, harass/hound, or disrespect ANYONE, anywhere on the site! It is a sure way to lose your site privileges. If we deem a thread is heading down the wrong path, we will intervene, close, or simply delete it, AND, depending on the nature of the incident, we may take further disciplinary action by revoking your posting privileges.

3. "Flames" "Flaming" "Board Wars" "Trolls" "Trolling" - NONE ARE TOLERATED ANYWHERE ON OUR SITE, or expected elsewhere. Posts and/or references that are meant to taunt or are otherwise be interpreted as inflammatory toward other sites will be removed without notice. Furthermore, anyone found originating inflammatory posts and/or remarks on other forums (originating a Flame/Board War) will have their posting privileges revoked here. This rule extends to anyone that posts negative remarks pertaining to this site on other forums/boards.

4. No Double Posting/Cross Posting: Double/Cross posting will result in the deletion of at least one of your posts, and possibly both posts depending on the circumstances. Double/Cross posting is the act of posting the same information in two or more forums. While we understand that some topics/posts might seem right at home in more than one forum, please do your best to pick the one that fits it best. Additionally, another version of double posting is posting in the same thread back to back. If you forgot to include something in your post, or have something more to add, then please "edit" your post. If the double post was an accident, please "delete" the redundant post.

5. Selling/Solicitation of ANYTHING through the forums, Private Message, Chat, and/or any other form/method is considered SPAM and is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Anyone found posting links to their (or others) websites with the intention of selling products and/or services, or suspected of suspicious/sneaky advertising may be warned, but will likely lose their posting privileges. We have a classified section for ALL private party and authorized vendor ads. If you own or operate a business that offers products or services that you feel would benefit our community, visit the Advertising/Sponsorship section to become an authorized car4ums.com vendor, small business sponsor, or site partner and do your part to support the community. We have several low-cost packages that will prove rewarding to your company.

6. Short/Meaningless threads: One word, or short common phrase (me too, I agree...), "smiley" only, and nonsense posts are not encouraged, are frowned upon, and prohibited in most cases. Give your post some content/meaning. Anyone habitually posting short posts with little or no original content may have a minimum character limit per post restriction enabled. We do not like to do this, but we also do not like seeing pointless posts either.

7. "Post Whoring" (pardon the expression) or repeated posting with the intent being to increase your post count is definitely not encouraged. Engaging in this activity will result in a post count lock on your account, which means regardless of how many more posts you make, your post count will not increase.

8. No blatant promotion of other sites. Occasional naming of other sites, occasional links pointing to pertinent content from another site is acceptable, however, repeated reference to related external sites constitutes "SPAM" and is prohibited. Links to external related sites in signatures are NOT allowed and will result in the revocation of your signature privilege. Additionally, links to external related sites in your user profile, classifieds, PM, Chat, or anywhere else on the site is prohibited. Furthermore, canvassing/encouraging our members to migrate to another related site is STRICLTY PROHIBITED and will result in account suspension.

9. Links that lead to an affiliate program or links that in any way earn you something are prohibited. Some examples of such links are those that include an affiliate ID, affiliate type website, banners in your posts/profile/classifieds, or any other method or device that rewards for impressions or click-thru's. Notify the Administrator if you feel you have a product or service that benefits the car4ums.com community.

10. One login account per member. Multiple accounts/registrations are prohibited and in most cases result in both accounts being terminated.

11. Illegal activity: Transactions and/or sites selling personal information (i.e. credit cards, e-mail addresses, pornography, etc) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED and result in deletion of all related posts/content, and permanent revocation of posting privileges - NO EXCEPTIONS! In addition, any and all other activity considered unethical, immoral, or illegal will result in the immediate deletion of all related content AND the suspension/revocation of your account.

12. Do not attempt to get another member's attention by creating a thread, or posting something like "Where's rickster547" use PM or email to contact someone directly - We provide you with the tools, please use them.

13. In an effort to keep the site/forum rules as simple as possible, we tried to cover most of the common situations, however, this set of rules should not be considered final, or complete. Surely revisions, additions, modifications will be made to these rules, so it should go without saying that we reserve the right to modify/amend said rules and take any actions deemed appropriate, whether outlined above or not, to ensure that the site/forums and the car4ums.com community as a whole operates with integrity and ethically.

14. The final word: Under ALL circumstances, the car4ums.com Moderators and/or Administrators have the final word. If you have any issues, complaints, problems, site related technical questions, member related issues, registration problems, paid subscription issues, or any other concerns, direct them to the car4ums Moderators and/or Administrators. The forums are not the place to deal with these issues.

15. As with most memberships, yours with car4ums.com is a privilege, NOT a right. We allow basic access to our community forums and site areas to the general public, but bottom line, we are a private member community. As such, the administrators and moderators have the final say in regard to which members are/not accepted. In addition, this applies to any post(s) and/or thread(s), and/or anything else deemed inappropriate. The owners of car4ums.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

16. The rules are subject to change, and can be amended without notice. As such, you should periodically review the rules for changes.

17. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: Enjoy yourself! Actively participate in the discussion forums and take advantage of the additional features and benefits available to registered members and paid subscribers/supporters. Keep it clean and respectful, and ENJOY being a part of the car4ums.com community!
